Just for fun I like to challenge myself to shoot difficult subjects under harsh conditions. A very dark gradiated motor vehicle moving really fast . So starting out you need a fast lens, I shoot with a 50mm f1.4 or a 50mm f1.2 lens if I need the extra light. The camera doesnt really matter, it just needs manual controls. This shot was composed shooting above my head, holding the camera as rigid as possible. I twisted at the hips keeping the camera as rigid as possible, using my body as the tripod as I panned using my body. My exposure was right around 1/40th of a second at prolly around an f4.0. I know what you are thinking , you said I need a fast lens, and yes you do. The fast lens affords depth of field when stopping down from its maximum aperature, creating more sharpness. The panning motion creates motion blur in the background, and if you pan properly, the car is in focus. This particular shot took about 10-15 tries to perfect for my conditions. The result, a sweet shot like this one . This is why I shoot stills.

fuel
It appears that the ethanol added to our fuel is destroying the very rubber oring gaskets that are needed
to hold the fuel in the carb bowls. It is possible to repair the problem, but it requires the disassembly of the entire carb bank. The fuel rail are tubes joining the carbs together, so they each can share the same fuel supply. Replacing these orings requires attention to detail, and patients.
